DEPARTMENT OF STRUCTURAL AND CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING
Undergraduate Programmes
Due to the unification of the Civil Engineering related degree programmes – Structural and Construction Engineering, Water Resources Engineering and Transportation Engineering, the Department offers courses that contribute to the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree programme. Moreover, the Department hosts two programmes of Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying.
Postgraduate Programmes
The Department is running postgraduate programmes at Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master’s and PhD levels as follows:
- PhD in Structural Engineering
- PhD in Construction Management
- MSc in Structural Engineering
- MSc in Construction Management
- PGD in Civil (Structural) Engineering
The Postgraduate Diploma is delivered under course-work mode. The Master’s programmes are being delivered under a coursework with dissertation mode and a thesis mode. On the other hand, the PhD programmes are exclusively delivered through a thesis mode. The Department also undertakes Postgraduate training by a sandwich mode, whereby a student may study a part of the course in another university
