PREPARATION OF THE DAR ES SALAAM CITY ENVIRONMENT OUTLOOK

This assignment was sponsored by the Vice President’s Office, Division of Environment. This work contributes to the development of the National Environment Outlook, which is in line with the Environmental Management Act (EMA) Cap 191, and the National Strategy for Growth and Reduction of Poverty (NSGRP) that requires preparation of periodic reports on the state of the environment.

TECHNICAL RESEARCH AND SUPPORT CONSULTANCY FOR DOCUMENTING AND COMMUNICATING BACKGROUND INFORMATION FOR A CLIMATE VULNERABILITY ASSESSMENT IN THE RUFIJI, MAFIA AND KILWA (RUMAKI) SEASCAPE, TANZANIA (2014)

The consultancy involves documentation and communication of background information for climate vulnerability assessment in the RUMAKI Seascape Tanzania. The review covered key areas such as trends in the status of ecosystems, natural resources, and natural resource-based livelihoods, major development issues affecting ecosystems, natural resources, and livelihoods, climate trends and projections for the area, and vulnerability and resilience of coastal ecosystems and livelihoods to climate change.
